We select teachers & DJs who inspire

We select teachers who deliver inspiring workshops and perform dazzling cabarets. But just as important, teachers who love their dancing and get out on the social dance floor with all of you.

We select DJs who love creating the perfect atmosphere during the evening dances. With these DJs on board, you'll get the ideal mix enabling you to practice what you've learnt in the workshops as well as dancing to your favourite tunes, including ones you haven't heard yet.

Jenny and Ricardo Jenny & Ricardo (Tango)

Jenny Frances and Ricardo Oria love tango - its music, its song, and its dance. They love the moment of surrender in the arms of your partner, the feeling of losing yourself and yet finding yourself at one with the music, at one with your partner, at one with yourself. They are proud to be part of the tango community: a rich culture steeped in history, which is still of relevance today and continues to grow.

Jenny and Ricardo love dancing together on a crowded floor (or on an empty floor) and hope to transmit some of this through their performances and through their teaching.

Jenny and Ricardo came together in 2002 and since then they have been invited to teach and perform in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, Germany and Argentina. They also organise and participate in the annual ‘Bailongo! Tango Festival’ in Edinburgh.

Constantine and Silvana Constantine & Silvana (Tango)

Constantine and Silvana are accomplished tango teachers based in Berlin, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to their classes.

Constantine has been involved with tango since 1996 and is known for his elegant style and ability to teach in a fun and informative way. Silvana has an extensive background in tango, having studied with many renowned teachers and developed deep technical knowledge.

Flávio and Matt Flávio & Matt (Tango)

Flávio de Brito and Matt have danced together since 2016 and are well known right across the UK dance scene. Flávio is Brazilian, has been dancing for over 25 years, and has a UK Ambassador’s Tango Cup to his name.

Their classes are friendly and packed with knowledge without ever getting heavy going, which is why they go down well with dancers at every level.

Expect to come away with plenty to put straight onto the floor that evening.

Your DJs

Mr Wilderness - Jonathan Melville-Smith Mr Wilderness - Jonathan Melville-Smith (Traditional)

Jonathan Melville-Smith is a distinguished DJ specialising in traditional tango music with a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of tango. His passion for traditional tango is evident as he ensures that both seasoned dancers and newcomers alike feel the rhythm and spirit of the dance.

His extensive knowledge of tango music allows him to create an authentic atmosphere that resonates with the essence of this passionate dance form.

Stania Diffey Stania Diffey (Traditional)

Stania Diffey is an experienced tango DJ and teacher from Devon. She runs Vida de Tango in Exeter - weekly classes, milongas, and practicas - and is a familiar face at Tango Feast and milongas across the South West. Her background spans Flamenco, contemporary dance and drama, and she’s been teaching tango since 2010.

As a DJ, she’s known for building elegant, balanced tandas that keep the energy flowing on the floor - a skill that comes from years of watching and working closely with dancers.

Gabriel Dekí Gabriele Dekí (Traditional)

Gabriele, originally from Palermo (Italy), began dancing tango in Barcelona in 2008 and started DJing in Ireland in 2013. Since then, he has shared his passion for tango at milongas, marathons and festivals across Europe and the Americas.

His music, deeply shaped by his time in Buenos Aires, reflects the soul of the milongas porteñas, elegant, intense and irresistibly danceable. Faithful to the traditional tango of the Golden Age, his tandas, including favourites like Troilo-Marino and Tanturi-Campos, wrap dancers in an atmosphere of emotion and connection.

Eduardo Bozzo Eduardo Bozzo (Nuevo)

Eduardo (Tango Alchemy) has been DJing tango for over 20 years, and it shows - he's got a real feel for the room and a knack for picking exactly the right track at the right moment.

You'll find him behind the decks regularly at the Cheltenham Tango Festathon, Bristol SouthBank and Hope Milongas, and he's been booked for the Welsh Tango International Festival two years running. As he puts it himself: "I curate the set as a journey - balancing rhythm, emotion and connection to create an unforgettable dance floor."

Expect a floor that fills up and stays full, with music that pulls you in rather than just ticking along in the background.

Paul Anderson Paul Anderson (Nuevo)

Paul Anderson is a prominent figure in the UK tango scene, renowned for his captivating DJ sets that expertly blend Neo, Nuevo, and Alt tango styles. As the resident DJ at the Huddersfield Tango Loft, he has earned a reputation for creating an inviting atmosphere that inspires dancers to connect and express themselves.

With his extensive knowledge of tango music, Paul curates a diverse selection that resonates with both traditionalists and modern enthusiasts alike.

Myracle - Myra Hales Myracle - Myra Hales (Blues)

Myra’s been here before and we were really pleased she said yes when we asked her back. She has a genuine gift for reading a room and building an atmosphere - the kind of DJ who makes the blues room feel like somewhere you don’t want to leave.

Her sets are soulful, expressive, and deeply musical. She pulls tracks that suit the dancing rather than just ticking boxes, and the floor tends to fill up and stay full. If you love blues dancing, you’re going to love this.

John Dunlop John Dunlop (Blues)

John is a blues dancer himself, which means he knows exactly what works on the floor. He’s probably best known for his role at Rhapsody, the well-regarded blues event near Southampton, and that pedigree speaks for itself.

His sets move between lyrical, atmospheric tracks and something more dynamic and modern - a range that keeps the floor engaged all night. The blues room is going to be in very good hands.
