“Things I love about RB: How friendly and welcoming it is. There are some bigger groups who can be a bit intimidating, but there are also smaller groups, couples and your mealtime ‘meet and greet’ tables that mean going on my own isn't scary; No ego's among the teachers. I love that they all get along, mix and match and genuinely seem to like each other. Some events have a ‘star’ teacher that can be a bit too stuffy. I LOVE the unassuming modesty and brilliance of all the RB teachers… The seamless way it all flowed! I know that takes a LOT of behind the scenes work. But it worked.”

“Thank you all for such a spectacular weekend… The programme of workshops was excellent… every workshop I did make it to was brilliant. A special mention must go to Jenny's Jazz workshop on Sunday afternoon, which was an absolute highlight and a wonderful way to finish the weekend. There are so many things I love about Rock Bottoms. First and foremost is the incredible friendliness of everyone who attends and the willingness of people to dance with anyone. As a follower attending without a regular partner, this makes a huge difference and, in my experience, Rock Bottoms is the best festival for this welcoming atmosphere. I've been learning Balboa for around 18 months now, so having the opportunity to practise every evening was a real bonus and one of the highlights of the weekend for me. I also really appreciate the booking arrangements. Being able to secure a place with just a £20 deposit is fantastic, especially compared with other events that require full payment a year in advance. And of course, I still love the silliness and fun of the pyjama breakfast and dance performance. It's one of those unique Rock Bottoms traditions that always brings a smile.”
