| We select teachers & DJs who inspire We select teachers who deliver inspiring workshops and perform dazzling cabarets. But just as important, teachers who love their dancing and get out on the social dance floor with all of you. We select DJs who love creating the perfect atmosphere during the evening dances. With these DJs on board, you'll get the ideal mix enabling you to practice what you've learnt in the workshops as well as dancing to your favourite tunes, including ones you haven't heard yet. Jenny & Ricardo
Jenny Frances and Ricardo Oria love tango - its music, its song, and its dance. They love the moment of surrender in the arms of your partner, the feeling of losing yourself and yet finding yourself at one with the music, at one with your partner, at one with yourself. They are proud to be part of the tango community: a rich culture steeped in history, which is still of relevance today and continues to grow. Jenny and Ricardo love dancing together on a crowded floor (or on an empty floor) and hope to transmit some of this through their performances and through their teaching. Jenny and Ricardo came together in 2002 and since then they have been invited to teach and perform in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, Germany and Argentina. They also organise and participate in the annual 'Bailongo! Tango Festival' in Edinburgh. |
Constantine Ruger
Constantin is a tango teacher based in Berlin, Germany. He has been teaching tango at various festivals around the world and has been involved with tango since 1996. He has learned various dance forms such as classical ballet, standard/latin dances, salsa, and swing dance. He is known for his passion for tango and his ability to teach it in a way that is both fun and informative. We are priveliged to have him at Rock Bottoms! |
Emma & Mariano
Emma Lucia Reyes is a warm, encouraging teacher who makes Argentine tango accessible and fun. With over 10 years of experience, she focuses on helping dancers of all levels feel confident, whether you’re mastering your first steps or refining advanced techniques. Her workshops prioritise connection, clear communication with your partner, and the joy of movement—think elegant turns, playful pauses, and learning to "listen" through the embrace. Emma’s passion for tango shines in her creative approach, inspired by her award-winning performances across Europe. 
Mariano Otero brings energy and creativity to every class, mixing traditional tango with lively theatrical twists. Their workshops are all about creativity—expect to explore spins, floor patterns, and cheeky surprises that keep dancing fresh and exciting. Perfect for those who want to laugh while they learn, their classes blend technique with a sense of adventure, drawing from his celebrated, humour-filled performances worldwide. |
