Now in it's third year, our Liverpool Lindy Festival becomes the Liverpool Lindy and Balboa Festival. World class teachers provide workshops in Lindy Hop (from improver to advanced level), plus a full programme of Balboa (intermediate and advanced). Gary Boon and Bic Graham head the DJ lineup, dazzling teacher cabarets, prestigious Lindy competitions, live music. The hotel is amazing, with spacious bedrooms, fine food and a grand ballroom providing the perfect backdrop to our “Titanic” theme night.
This year (2012) will be the 100th anniversary of that infamous voyage of the Titanic. The Adelphi hotel was rebuilt in 1912 to accommodate many of the passengers of this magnificent ship. The hotel's interior is still truly amazing and for our Saturday night party we'll tog up in our finery and celebrate a truly unforgettable moment in history in this authentic location!
Maritine history is huge in Liverpool - the Albert Dock is restored and a brilliant place to visit. The Cavern Club (home of the Beatles) is a must see attraction and it's all on your doorstep with just walk out of the hotel for shops, museums, galleries, Chinatown and more.
Flights from Europe can be very cheap – both Manchester or Liverpool airports offer public transport almost to the door. This City and it's people are really fantastic so come and join us for a weekend of dance and culture (and perhaps shopping!).
