class nights "That was one of the best beginner classes I have ever seen taught" Overview At ijig we have developed the teaching format used by other dance organisations to incorporate three classes instead of the usual two. Apart from giving you extra value for money with 50% extra teaching free, you will also become an expert that much quicker. All classes finish in time to give you more dancing - Two Hours. Modern Jive and Argentine Tango classes run simultaneously and you can move back and forth to suit your mood.
The dress code is casual, but do make sure you are comfortable. It can get quite hot when you are dancing so some people bring a change of top. Also make sure that your put on your comfiest pair of shoes. It might be an idea to avoid rubber soled shoes such as trainers, as this will help your turns and spins, but for beginners this is not essential. You will be moving around the floor partner-dance styley after your first lesson, so please don't wear flip-flops! You Can Come On Your Own There is no need to bring a partner with you. Throughout the classes you will change partners every few minutes. This rotation of partners is a great way to get to meet lots of people in the class and actually helps you improve your dancing.
